Why we come
The strength of the Church is in those who carry it.
We believe that the strength of the Church is not only in the gathering of people, but also in the strength of those who carry the responsibility of leading, serving, praying, teaching and advancing the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, The Ekklesia Globe team responds to the burden of the Spirit by visiting churches and spending intentional time with their pastorate, leadership and ministry teams — in prayer, the Word, spiritual encouragement, prophetic ministry, intercession and activation.

Our Mandate
To return, to confirm, and to strengthen
The Strengthening Visit is built upon the apostolic pattern seen in Scripture: to return to the brethren, confirm them, strengthen them, and help them continue faithfully in their God-given assignment.
Our desire is not to build over what another pastor has built, nor to create competition between ministries. We come as servants of the Body of Christ, honouring the leadership of each local church and seeking to strengthen what God has already planted.

The Six-Hour Model
Six hours of focused ministry
A standard Strengthening Visit is designed around approximately six hours of focused ministry, although the exact structure may vary according to the needs of the church and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Consecration & Alignment
The visit begins with intentional prayer with the pastor and leadership, seeking God’s wisdom, direction, strength and grace for the local house and those who lead it.

Leadership Conversation
We listen to the pastorate and seek to understand the present season, the burdens, the challenges, the opportunities and the spiritual priorities of the church. Effective strengthening begins with listening before speaking.

Workers & Ministry Teams
We gather with workers and ministry teams for focused prayer and encouragement — strengthening the people who serve behind the scenes and carry the practical responsibilities of advancing the ministry.

Teaching & Equipping
A focused teaching session addresses relevant areas of spiritual life and ministry, chosen for the season the house is in.

Prophetic Prayer & Activation
As the Spirit leads, there may be extended times of prayer, prophetic ministry, laying on of hands, spiritual activation and intercession — everything approached with biblical responsibility, humility and honour for the local leadership.

Corporate Intercession & Commissioning
The visit concludes with prayer over the pastorate, workers, congregation, families, community, territory and the future assignment of the church. We seek to leave the house strengthened, refreshed, encouraged and ready for what is next.

The emphasis is not decided in advance. We trust the Holy Spirit to direct what the house most needs to hear.
One Visit or a Continuing Assignment
The engagement is not restricted to a single format
Depending on the burden of the Spirit and the needs of the church, the relationship may take one of three shapes.
Follow-Up Visits
Two or more visits over an agreed period, for continued strengthening, equipping and prayer.
Ongoing Apostolic Strengthening
Where there is a deeper relationship and mutual agreement, the team may maintain periodic engagement with the leadership through prayer, teaching, leadership strengthening and spiritual support.
The frequency is determined by the need of the house, the invitation of its leadership, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Our Approach
We do not come as inspectors. We come to serve.
We do not come to criticise another man’s work, and we do not come to take the place of the local pastor.
The senior pastor and local leadership remain responsible for the local expression of the church. The Ekklesia Globe team comes alongside them as a strengthening ministry, and leaves the house in their hands.

Before & After
Every visit begins, and continues, in prayer
Before the Visit
Before visiting a church, our team seeks God concerning the house and prepares through prayer, intercession and the study of the Word, trusting the Holy Spirit to direct the emphasis of the visit.
After the Visit
Where appropriate, the relationship continues beyond the day of visitation — prayer follow-up, agreed areas of encouragement, and continued spiritual support for the leadership.

The goal is not merely to conduct a powerful meeting. The goal is transformation that continues after we leave.

The Strengthening Visit is one of the ways The Ekklesia Lagos expresses its apostolic burden toward the Body of Christ.
We believe there are churches that need encouragement, pastors who need strengthening, workers who need refreshing, and leaders who need someone to stand with them in prayer. We come to strengthen what God has planted.
